Gross Anatomy

The 2D Concepts - Printmaking-Visual Language - Lithography ART 3120 003 and an "Anatomy" drawing class  collaborated on making 3 large books based on the text "Grey’s Anatomy" Each student illustrated three pages for each book, nine in total.  They used lithography as a base for their initial drawing and then embellish the pages with various drawing media. The book pages are 30” x 22” in size and 60 illustrations per book. They were be required to work collaboratively. We exposed students to as broad of an approach as possible while still gaining valuable skills. The books were donated;  one went to the library at the UT Medial Campus and the other to the TMA Library in the CVA. The third book will be kept unbound in order to exhibit as 60 individual images.Gross Anatomy was on display at Imagination Station in downtown Toledo during the Grossology exhibit.
